The end of “Yellowstone” Season 5, Part 2 is near. And while the final six episodes have been touted as the final chapter for the neo-Western series, there are some rumblings about a possible Season 6. But are the rumors true? Let’s dive in.
After Episode 13 aired on Dec. 8, viewers were treated to a sneak peek of Episode 14, dubbed the “season finale” — not the series finale. Paramount Network previously shared that “Yellowstone” would end after Season 5, Part 2.
But it’s looking like that may no longer be the case.

Multiple ‘Yellowstone’ spinoff series are in the works
“Yellowstone” cocreator Taylor Sheridan is reportedly developing a new spinoff series, too.
While Season 2 of “1923″ — one of many “Yellowstone” prequel series — is set to premiere in 2025, another spinoff of a different name is reportedly in production.
Tentatively titled “The Madison” per TVLine, the show is rumored to follow a wealthy matriarch and her family as they head to Montana from New York City following the tragic deaths of her husband and brother-in-law.
In August, TVLine reported the show’s cast includes actors Patrick J. Adams of “Suits,” Beau Garrett of “The Good Doctor,” Amiah Miller of “My Best Friend’s Exorcism” and Elle Chapman.
Not much is known about the spinoff series or its connection to “Yellowstone” at this time. But this isn’t the only spinoff in the works, either.
TV Insider reported in August that Sheridan is working on a prequel spinoff called “1944″ that will presumably center around a different generation of Duttons. Given the series is likely based in 1944, this means it takes place 15 years before the birth of patriarch John Dutton III. TV Insider estimates the show will be released in 2026.
Though information about “The Madison” and “1944″ is limited, it indicates fans of “Yellowstone” have a plethora of content to look forward to regardless of whether “Yellowstone” Season 6 takes place.
