Former EastEnders actor Davood Ghadami, known for playing Kush Kazemi, is set to appear in an exciting new Amazon Prime historical drama, House of David. The series follows the journey of David, the ancient king of Israel and Judah, from his humble beginnings as a shepherd to his rise as a powerful ruler. Egyptian-American actor Michael Iskander portrays the young David, while Ghadami takes on the role of Eliab, David’s eldest brother.
In the recently released teaser trailer, Ghadami makes his first appearance around the 50-second mark, delivering a powerful line to David, accusing him of not being a true man of God. Since leaving EastEnders in 2021—following Kush’s tragic murder at the hands of Gray Atkins—Ghadami has taken on several roles, including Dr. Eli Ebrahimi in Holby City before its cancellation and a guest appearance in Beyond Paradise.
Fans of the actor can also look forward to hearing him on We Started Here, Lacey Turner’s upcoming podcast. He will be joined by co-star Rakhee Thakrar, who played his on-screen wife, Shabnam Masood, as they reflect on their time in EastEnders and share insights into their latest projects.
