Daisy Midgeley, played by Charlotte Jordan, is set to make a dramatic departure from Coronation Street next month. The actress confirmed earlier this year that she would be leaving the ITV soap after joining in 2020 as Jenny Connor’s former step-daughter.
Since her arrival on the cobbles, Charlotte has won awards for her portrayal of Daisy, who has been involved in some of the show’s most significant storylines.
These include a blackmail plot and being stalked by Justin Rutherford, which led to an acid attack on Daisy and Ryan Connor.
Daisy also schemed her way into co-owning the Rovers Return with Jenny and recently found herself at the centre of a paternity storyline after discovering she was pregnant, only to tragically lose her unborn child in a hit-and-run.
Currently, Daisy is seen plotting with her mother, Christina Boyd, to take revenge on Jenny after discovering her windfall from an investment her father made in Jenny’s name years ago. This could lead to Jenny attempting to buy the Rovers Return from Carla Connor, the MEN reports.
However, next month, Daisy will say goodbye to the cobbles in a dramatic and emotionally charged storyline, as revealed in Coronation Street’s brand new trailer.

The cobbled streets of Weatherfield are bracing for emotional turmoil as Daisy prepares to leave for a new life abroad, following a series of dramatic events involving a secret pregnancy, catfishing, and complex love triangles. Viewers will be treated to poignant scenes where Jenny implores Daisy not to go.
Further intensifying the drama, Daisy’s heartfelt exchange with Daniel Osbourne is set to leave fans on edge, hoping that Daniel’s words will change her mind.

Reflecting on Daisy’s exit, actress Charlotte commented: “I think it’s very bittersweet for Daisy to be leaving. Weatherfield has been her home for a while now and, early on, was giving her all the things she wanted – family, community, stability, people to love more than she perhaps loves herself – but it’s also been the source of so much trauma for her.”

She added: “As for me, I’m feeling really grateful for my years on the show and the people I’ve gotten to work with. Producer Kate Brooks has been so supportive about me wanting to go back out into the audition circuit and very generous with Daisy’s exit story, as she really wanted to do the character justice.”
Charlotte concluded: “Coronation Street is a very special building, and I have loved it. And it’s just goodbye for now, not goodbye forever.”
