Coronation Street has revealed another look at Mick Michaelis’ dramatic prison escape as he puts his desperate plan into action.
After getting news that his family are falling apart, a dramatic episode of the ITV soap set to air on Monday (July 14) follows Mick, played by Joe Layton, as he orchestrates a prison break and plans to do a runner with his children – Brody, Joanie and Shanice.
With the desperate killer having little to lose, he poses a danger to anyone who gets in his way. His first port of call is Weatherfield High.
As Daniel Osbourne prepares for his interview at Weatherfield High, the kids give Joanie a hard time about her parents. When Joanie becomes teary, the school call Sally Metcalfe to take her home.

Soon, Daniel and Mrs Crawshaw are shocked to come face to face with Mick, who tells them he wants Joanie. Mrs Crawshaw explains that Sally picked Joanie up.
When he realises that his daughter Joanie has been taken home from school by Sally, who has been helping with the youngsters while Lou is questioned over the Gary Windass attack, Mick locks them in the office and aheads for the cobbles.
As Sally offers Joanie a tour of Underworld, while the factory girls are at the pub, she has no idea that Mick has arrived on the street, closely followed by DC Kit Green.
A new spoiler video has revealed that Mick then makes a beeline for the factory, determined to locate Joanie. Sarah Platt is alone when the murderer, having killed PC Craig Tinker in the ling of duty, enters and he takes her prisoner.

Tim Metcalfe, who had spotted Mick making his way to the building, confronts him, but he furiously grabs Sarah, seemingly intent on using her as a hostage.
Sally, meanwhile, hears the commotion and tries to get Joanie to safety. What has Mick got planned and will Kit be able to stop him?

Actor Joe Layton previously said of Mick’s plans: “He isn’t after revenge, this is about him wanting to get his family together and start a new life with them.
“The anger that we saw when he killed Craig has been replaced by desperation and love for his family, but that doesn’t make him any less dangerous. Kit is potentially putting his life on the line once more in his attempts to stop Mick.”
