Coronation Street fans have been delighted by the return of Lucy Fallon as Bethany Platt after she first joined the soap in 2015.

Her return has sparked excitement among viewers and curiosity over which other familiar faces might reappear.

According to Betway Casino, the most likely comeback is Peter Barlow, played by Chris Gascoyne, with 2/1 odds.

A long-standing character, Peter left the soap in 2023 after decades of gripping storylines.

Following Chris’ exit from the ITV drama, he took on a new role alongside soap legend Jill Halfpenny in a Channel 5 drama, The Feud.

In second place with 3/1 odds is Katherine Kelly’s character Becky McDonald, who left the soap in 2012 when she headed to Barbados to start a new life with Danny Stratton.

Rosie Webster could also be a contender to come back to our TV screens, with odds of 5/1, while her on-screen sister Sophie was just behind with odds of 8/1.

Helen Flanagan has spoken several times of her eagerness to reprise her role after her departure seven years ago.

More recently, in an interview with The Sun, her friend said: “I’d absolutely love to go back to Coronation Street, I really, really would.

“I’d love to see Rosie Webster come back as a single mum, having just left her partner.

“She’d dump her two kids with Sally and I think she would be an iconic barmaid at Rovers Return.”

Her friend added: “She has had enough of reality TV and would like a regular job.

“Helen recently spoke to a top Corrie producer about the possibility of coming back, but her character wouldn’t currently feed into any plots that are playing out.”

Since her time on Corrie, Helen appeared on I’m a Celebrity . . . South Africa in 2023 and was on Celebs Go Dating last year.
