Not that he’d admit it, but Ross Barton (Michael Parr) is slowly starting to enjoy having a new brother around in Emmerdale.
Lewis Barton (Bradley Riches) wrote a letter to the Barton family a few weeks ago and confirmed he is the secret son of Emma. He was adopted when he was a baby, and wanted to meet Ross and Moira (Natalie J Robb) to learn more about his biological relatives.
Lewis’ first meeting with Ross didn’t go well at all. Ross arrived at the forest walk with the mindset that he’d lie to Lewis about Emma, so he didn’t risk getting close to the fact Moira killed her.

Due to Lewis being very keen to know everything about Ross and his other family members, he appeared quite pushy, which made Ross feel overwhelmed.
In one of their most recent meetings, Lewis decided that he wanted to meet Moira. Once Ross updated her, Moira said that she’d just stick to their original story when it came to Emma, and everything would be fine.

But with Lewis once again incredibly determined to learn about his real mum, the constant questioning left Moira in a panic, and Lewis was asked to leave.
The siblings were at the graveyard in tonight’s episode, as Lewis decided that he should clean Emma’s headstone. Unsurprisingly, it hadn’t been cared for, but Lewis felt the need to do something.
Ross listened to Lewis chatting away and it was clear by this point, he was starting to warm to him. Lewis reminds Ross of his younger brother Finn, who was shot by Emma, so hanging out with the new face seems to bring him some sort of comfort.
They headed into the pub where Lewis found Liam (Jonny McPherson). The two characters connected over their love for gardening and the outdoors, but Ross found it all terribly boring.
