Beth and Rip’s ‘Yellowstone’ Spinoff Could Be Here Way Sooner Than We Thought
The day has finally come, folks! At long last, we have the Yellowstone news we’ve all been waiting for.
Earlier this week, Bloomberg reported that the Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip (Cole Hauser) spin-off is closer than we originally thought. According to the report, Taylor Sheridan has been working quietly with Paramount co-CEO Chris McCarthy to release the highly anticipated sequel, the Yellowstone universe’s first. While Cole has long hinted at starring in a potential show, and Kelly went so far as to confirm the spin-off on Instagram with a single word and emoji back in December, this is the first we’re hearing more concrete details of the newest modern-day Western project.
What we currently know is that Beth and Rip’s spin-off is tentatively titled Dutton Ranch, and it’s set to debut this fall on Paramount Network, with streaming available on Paramount+. That’s it so far for the future of the beloved Dutton-Wheeler couple, but it’s enough to keep us invested.
It also doesn’t hurt that news of a second unanticipated Yellowstone sequel broke. As mentioned in the Bloomberg report, Luke Grimes will reprise his role as Kayce Dutton for a spin-off airing on CBS in 2026.
This means that now, we not only have two confirmed prequels, The Madison and 1944, we also have two sequels to look forward to. Suffice to say, our Yellowstone-loving hearts couldn’t be more thrilled—and we imagine Taylor and the folks running the show over at Paramount can hardly contain themselves either. After all, Taylor almost quit working on the series after struggling to get it picked up. Now, the Yellowstone franchise dominates streaming and television as the most-watched scripted show on TV, with earnings just shy of $3 billion, Bloomberg reports. Talk about a turnaround!
