Well, Rip Wheeler rides again.

In news that has Yellowstone fans tipping their hats in celebration, Cole Hauser has officially confirmed he’s returning to the world of Taylor Sheridan’s hit Western drama. Speaking during the Professional Bull Riding (PBR) finals in Arlington, Texas, Hauser revealed that both he and co-star Kelly Reilly, who plays the unforgettable Beth Dutton, are gearing up for the next chapter.

What We Know About the Yellowstone Spin-Off
While Paramount has yet to formally announce the title or release date, Hauser made it clear this isn’t just a vague prequel or side story. It’s a direct continuation of Yellowstone as fans know it.

“Kelly and I [are] going and working our ass off trying to create something special,” Hauser told Fox News. “The same that we’ve been doing for the last seven years.”

He also took a moment to debunk one of the most popular online rumors about the upcoming series: “Well, first of all, it’s not Dutton Ranch,” Hauser clarified when asked about the show’s name. So, while we don’t have an official title yet, we do know what not to call it.

A New Start for Rip, Beth, and Carter
At Paramount Global’s 2025 earnings call, execs confirmed the spin-off will pick up right where the Yellowstone series finale left off. That final December 2024 episode showed Rip and Beth leaving the chaos behind for a quiet ranch near Dillon, Montana, with their adopted son Carter.

It was a surprisingly tender, optimistic sendoff for two of the series’ most volatile characters—and fans can expect that storyline to continue as the spin-off unfolds.

Who Else Might Return?
While no additional cast members have been confirmed, it wouldn’t be a Taylor Sheridan project without a few familiar faces dropping in. Characters like Lloyd (Forrie J. Smith), Walker (Ryan Bingham), or even Lynelle Perry (Wendy Moniz) could appear in future episodes.

Sheridan has built a vast, interconnected universe, and this new series—still officially untitled—is expected to premiere in late 2025. It will join a stacked lineup that includes Landman Season 2, Mayor of Kingstown Season 4, and Tulsa King Season 3 in September.

It’s Still the Wild West—Just with a New Zip Code
While the setting may be quieter, don’t expect Rip and Beth to live in total peace. As Hauser hinted, the show will carry the same heart, grit, and intensity that made Yellowstone a cultural phenomenon.

And if you think Rip’s days of knocking heads are behind him? Think again. As long as there’s trouble, there’s a good chance it’ll find him—and Beth—wherever they go.
