Coronation Street fans have spotted a sweet ‘full circle’ moment as the show’s Lauren Bolton star responded having got a new role on the Cobbles.
Actress Cait Fitton made her debut in the role of the trouble teen back in late 2022 alongside her evil dad, Reece Bolton, who was a member of Griff Reynolds’ far-right gang.
Then, months after being involved in Max Turner’s far-right storyline, she was thrown in turmoil as her alter-ego was abused by solicitor Joel Deering.
Lauren has since faced further turmoil, with her son, Frankie, being born early before later being given the devastating diagnosis of aplastic anaemia, all while she was charged with the murder of Joel, before being cleared by a jury.
But after a recent set-back as she was blackmailed over a van crash, which involved fellow teen Betsy Swain, before using the money Bobby Crawford gave her to see off her blackmailer for rent instead, things seem to be looking up for Lauren.
During Wednesday’s (May 14) Corrie, the latest character to step behind the bar at the iconic Rovers Return, which has been left short-staffed following the departures of Jenny Connor and Daisy Midgeley.

The boozer’s new manager, Glenda Shuttleworth, was seen complaining to Rovers owner Carla Connor about ongoing staffing issues but the Underworld factory boss wasn’t keen to hire anyone yet as she looks for a buyer.
But Carla later changed her mind as she walked in on a spat between Lauren and step-daughter Betsy, which saw her long-time friend Roy Cropper caught in the crossfire.
But Roy put in a good word for Lauren and Carla agreed that Lauren could have a trial shift, with Glenda quickly taking her under her wing behind the bar.
And the moment proved to be a ‘full circle’ moment for actress Cait as she previously revealed how she went on one of the Corrie tours as a youngster and was seen posing for a snap behind the Rovers bar.
Sharing the pictures side-by-side on Instagram, Corrie shared: “Full circle moment [face holding back tears and heart emojis] #Corrie @caitfitt0n,” to which Cait replied: “A dream come true.”

Sydney Martin, who plays Betsy and shares a close bond with Cait off-screen, commented: “Look at you,” with a stars emoji. Co-star Claire Sweeney, who plays Cassie Plummer, also replied: “Love this”.
Abi Webster star Sally Carman-Duttine also cheered: “Come on.”
Corrie fans, meanwhile, had already picked up and taking to X with the picture of a young Cait and a screengrab of Lauren behind the Rovers bar, @carlascig said: “Cait Fitton said I have a dream and fair play she’s smashed it.” @mikesbaldwins replied: “This is too much. The DREAM.” @hgwrites added: “Love this for her.”
