Coronation Street buffs are buzzing with speculation that a soap legend might return to topple Mick Michaelis.
Hardman Mick (Joe Layton) burst onto the scene earlier this year alongside his missus Lou (Farrel Hegarty). Labelled as “nightmare neighbours,” the duo quickly stirred up trouble on the street.
They’ve been causing chaos for locals like Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) and Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan), but things turned nasty last month when Mick unleashed his violent streak by savagely attacking Sean Tully (Anthony Cotton).
The beating was a result of Mick discovering that Sean had grassed up his son Brody (Ryan Mulvey) for bullying Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne) at school.
Recently, it’s come to light that Mick and dodgy copper Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) share a dark past – the two lads grew up together, reports Leicestershire Live.

Moreover, viewers will soon be treated to a flashback episode from 2007, which promises to spill the beans on Kit and Mick’s murky history and Kit’s complex relationships.
This week on the cobbles, Mick ramped up the tension by trapping Liam Connor (Charlie Wrenshall) in a tool shed at the builders yard. When Gary Windass (Mikey North) got wind of this, he gave Mick the boot, leaving him seething.
In Wednesday’s instalment (May 14), Mick revealed his menacing side once more by launching an attack on Gary, sparking a brawl in the street. Just as Gary was about to clout Mick with a bottle, PC Kit swooped in to break up the fight.

Gary was left gobsmacked when Kit didn’t nick Mick, letting him scarper away scot-free. Later, Mick was seen taunting Kit, making it obvious he had dirt on him from their history.
Now, soap buffs are convinced that Mick’s comeuppance is just around the corner – and they reckon they ‘know’ who’ll do him in.

On a Coronation Street Facebook fan group, one user wrote: “Corrie hurry up and get rid of Mick.”
Another chimed in: “He is vile, he needs someone to put him in place or kill him.”
Then, a third fan speculated that Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) might return to “teach Mick a lesson”. They pondered: “I’d love for Peter to come back and sort him out! He wouldn’t stand for it.”
