Coronation Street fans are in for a treat next week as they’ll finally get an update on the ‘missing’ character, Gary Windass.
Viewers will remember that Gary, portrayed by Mikey North, first graced our screens back in 2008 and has been at the centre of many dramatic storylines.

However, sharp-eyed soap enthusiasts have noticed his recent absence from the show, causing confusion as Gary was last spotted in an episode which believed to air on January 6.
But worry not, as spoilers for the upcoming week reveal that Gary is set to make a triumphant return to the cobbles and be part of a new storyline.
In future scenes, Gary informs his wife Maria Connor that business at the shop is slow and he’s considering selling up to buy the builder’s yard instead, reports Leicestershire Live.

Maria, however, is concerned and insists they can’t afford it. Later, at the bistro, Gary shares his plans with Mick, expressing his desire to purchase the builder’s yard despite Maria’s reservations.
Mick, on the other hand, believes Gary should go ahead, arguing that what’s best for him is also best for Maria. Later, Maria stumbles upon Gary and Mick enjoying a celebratory drink at the bistro… has he gone behind her back?
As the week progresses, an enthusiastic Gary assures Maria that he will make the builder’s yard a success. However, Maria warns him that offering Mick a job was a mistake and tells Mick he’s not welcome.

Meanwhile, in the precinct, Liam finds himself in trouble when his phone gets stolen. As the boys continue to harass Liam, Mick steps in… will he come to the rescue?

Soap fans took to social media in droves, buzzing about Gary’s return as teased in next week’s Coronation Street spoilers.
One thrilled viewer exclaimed on Twitter, now X: “Gary is back! ! ! ! !” complete with a shocked emoji. Someone else tweeted eagerly: “Is that Gary! Longtime no see” Another fan commented: “Great to see Gary back #Corrie”, and an additional tweet read: “Oh lovely Gary!”.
In other comments, one soap fanatic couldn’t hide their excitement: “omg finally Gary is back!”, while another noted: “It seems that Gary hasn’t been in the programme for months” and yet another celebrated: “At last! There’s ar Gary! #Corrie.”
