Coronation Street’s Ben Price couldn’t help but burst into laughter as he recalled his co-star Jack P Shepherd’s cringe-worthy near miss with eviction on Celebrity Big Brother earlier in the week.
On his On The Sofa podcast, Ben couldn’t resist discussing Jack’s “awkward” blunder, confessing that he thought Jack “came out well” from a recent CBB episode. While chatting with Colson Smith, his podcast co-host and fellow Corrie actor, Ben didn’t hold back: “Today, I thought Jack came out really well, Trisha pied him, and didn’t give him a hug, that was f****ng funny.”
He went on to describe an uncomfortable moment with Chris Hughes: “He hugged Chris in one of the most awkward moments I have ever seen on national telly.”

Ben admitted that he was in stitches watching his on-screen sibling’s awkward exchange with reality TV star Chris Hughes, saying: “I literally couldn’t stop f****ng laughing when I saw him. Chris goes for a hug and I’m thinking this is one of the worst moments of Jack’s life, he’s cringing.”
These remarks followed shortly after talk show legend Trisha Goddard was evicted from the house, leaving Jack and EastEnders’ Patsy Palmer still in the game after too had been up for eviction.
Not long after Trisha’s departure, Jack was spotted aired his confusion over her farewell, telling Chris: “Trish didn’t hug me, nothing, she went round everyone and blanked me.”

Trisha made it clear she wasn’t intentionally ignoring the 37-year-old Corrie star, saying on CBB’s spin-off show, Late and Live: “I didn’t see him, he’s little, seriously, I would have if I saw him..”
The soap star also shared a harrowing moment with his housemates, revealing that he had a near-fatal experience when he lost control of his car on the M62.
He remembered the dramatic event: “I had a big car accident on M62. Yeah, just getting onto the slip road at M62, I f**king skidded, spinned, and went through a barrier, and I was hanging over a bridge for M62. The car was a f**king Italian job.”
Jack is now treading the same path as fellow Corrie celebrity Colson Smith, who previously clinched third place on Celebrity Big Brother last year.

With a history of its stars venturing into reality TV, the soap recently witnessed Alan Halsall, known for his role as Tyrone Dobbs, taking on I’m A Celeb.
Jack has cemented his status over the years with his portrayal of David Platt in Coronation Street since landing the part in 2000 at the tender age of just 12.
His performances in some of the show’s most captivating storylines have earned him two British Soap Awards—one for Villain of the Year in 2008 and another for Best Actor in 2018.
