It has finally been confirmed when Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) will be returning to Albert Square, and there isn’t long to go.
Alfie was last seen on screens in June, when he fled Walford to follow Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan) to Barcelona, covering his tracks by telling Kat he was visiting Spencer in Australia.
In current scenes, Kat has found out that Alfie is in Spain, but is unaware that he is on the hunt for her estranged daughter, who hastily left London after telling Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) that she had done something bad and unforgivable.
It was confirmed that Zoe would make a big comeback in the summer, and she may not be far behind Alfie, with advance spoilers confirming he’ll be returning to Albert Square on Monday 28th July.
The stripped-back synopsis teases: “Alfie arrives home to a big surprise, Lauren makes a worrying discovery, and Harry fears being caught.”

As for what could be in the pipeline for Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) and Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway) is yet to be confirmed, but with the return of Oscar Branning (Pierre Moullier), there could be more trouble ahead.
Earlier this week, Oscar returned to Walford but now as a teenager recently released from a youth detention centre.
Lauren was shocked to learn that Oscar expected to move in with her, and that their mum Tanya (Jo Joyner) had kicked Oscar out when his gang ‘mate’ had tried to petrol bomb their home!
Could there be more trouble ahead for the teen? Viewers will have to stay tuned.
