The police were running out of options as they continued to try and investigate Joe Tate’s (Ned Porteous) fall in tonight’s Emmerdale.
We learnt in yesterday’s episode of the ITV soap that Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) was the one to push Joe out of the window at Home Farm after she learnt the truth about him.
With Dawn aware that she’d lose her children if the police knew the truth, she ended up confessing to Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) after he was questioned.
After everything she’s put Billy through recently, Dawn used his emotions to her advantage. She knew that he wouldn’t want anything to happen to Clemmie, Lucas and Evan and together, they came up with a plan that ultimately saved them both from further interrogation from the police.

The detective tried to question Dawn again tonight but when Billy arrived, he reiterated that they were together when Joe fell, so it couldn’t have been either of them.
With Dawn and Billy in the clear, DS Dasari turned his attention to two other people on his list.
At the station, Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) was told a drug had been found in one of the glasses in the kitchen at Home Farm.

The detective tried to suggest that Charity tried to spike Noah but this is a smart woman, she knew full well that they didn’t actually have any proof she was planning that.
As a result, Charity turned the tables and managed to put herself in the clear. However, Dasari then revealed there is only one person left on his list of suspects that he’s yet to properly speak to.
Noah.
