Emmerdale fans are convinced they’ve figured out the true identity of Lewis Barton’s father, who is already a resident of the village.
Lewis (played by Bradley Riches) made his first appearance on the popular ITV soap this week, arriving as the secret sibling of Ross Barton (portrayed by Mike Parr).
Ross discovered the existence of Lewis through his aunt Moira (Natalie J Robb), who received a letter addressed to The Family of Emma Barton (Gillian Kearney) – Ross’ late mother.
As viewers will remember, Emma was behind numerous crimes during her stint in the village, ranging from kidnapping Moira’s baby to even murdering her own son Finn (Joe Gill).

Despite grappling with her moral dilemma over the mysterious letter, Moira eventually showed it to Ross, revealing that he has a half-brother, Lewis, whom he has never met.
After some persuasion from Matty Barton, (Ash Palmisciano) Ross decided to reach out to Lewis – and in Thursday’s episode (May 15) the two brothers met in a woodland area.
The pair quickly bonded, with Lewis eager to learn about his hidden family and his biological mother, Emma.

It was also disclosed that Lewis was adopted after Emma gave him up for adoption. Moreover, he has a different father than Ross.
Despite the initial positive interaction between Ross and Lewis, the latter’s incessant questions about their family became overwhelming for Ross, who tried to keep the family’s dark secrets under wraps.
In a dramatic turn of events, he chose to leave, leaving a distraught Lewis behind for good. Once back in the village, Ross revealed to Moira that they had both agreed to put an end to any hopes of a family reunion.
