Emmerdale fans are certain they know who Dawn Taylor will strike up a romance with next.

Dawn (Olivia Bromley) has been a staple on the ITV soap since her first appearance back in 2018. And it didn’t take her long to get involved in several big storylines and moments.

From drug abuse to her child Evan’s shock leukaemia diagnosis, her time in the Dales has not been short of drama. Especially at the moment, as earlier this year, she shocked fans when she started an affair with Joe Tate (Ned Porteous).

At the time, she was grieving the loss of her dad Will (Dean Andrews) who died at Christmas, as well as dealing with the shock leukaemia diagnosis of Evan.

Needing to find an escape, she ended up cheating on husband Billy (Jay Kontzle) with Joe under the same roof – and despite insisting it was a one-off, the pair have fallen in love with one another.

Eventually, Dawn ended her relationship with Billy, who was naturally heartbroken over their separation and confused as to why things were over. However, last week things took a seriously dramatic turn.

Joe’s secrets and lies were exposed to everyone at a party at Home Farm. He soon became public enemy number one, so much so, that he ended up getting pushed out of a window by a mystery person.

It was then revealed that Joe was in a coma after suffering a bleed on his brain. A slew of residents have now become suspects, including Billy, who was arrested in Monday’s episode (May 13).

However, Billy was later released when Dawn provided him with an alibi, claiming that they were together in bed when Joe was pushed. Dawn then shocked fans when she confessed to Billy that she was the one who pushed Joe.

But now, fans are already speculating who Dawn could start a romance with next – and it seems angry viewers are convinced she will end up rekindling things with Billy.

“Billy and Dawn are def getting back together aren’t they?” mused one person on an Emmerdale Facebook fan page. Someone else added: “Most likely, now she gave him an alibi. I really hope not, he deserves someone much better.” A third also said: “I’ve said from the start that they will end up getting back together, can’t stand Dawn!”
