Next week’s Coronation Street spoilers reveal a heart-wrenching turn of events for Craig Tinker, who is found in a life-threatening condition.
In the forthcoming episodes, an eager Craig, portrayed by Colson Smith, shows up for work to shadow Kit Green as part of his CID placement, while also arranging an online date for later that evening.

After being largely overlooked by Kit throughout the day due to the latter being distracted by his ongoing spat with Mick Michaelis, a disheartened Craig confesses to DS Lisa Swain that Kit doesn’t value his work.
Lisa, trying to boost his morale, encourages him to prove Kit wrong. Later, when Craig is summoned to investigate a disturbance, he sees an opportunity. Will Craig be able to impress Kit or will destiny intervene?, reports Leicestershire Live.
As the week progresses, it’s revealed that Craig is battling for his life, struggling to explain to paramedics what transpired, leaving Lisa stunned by the extent of his injuries.

As Craig is rushed into the ambulance, Maria Connor describes to Lisa how she discovered him drenched in blood. Later, in the ICU, Lisa is informed that Craig has brain swelling.
At one point, Craig regains consciousness and informs paramedic Asha Alahan that he remembers what happened to him. However, as Jess attempts to interrogate him, his condition worsens.
Later in the week, Lisa receives a call from Jess at the hospital, anxiously awaiting any update on Craig. Meanwhile, Tim, Sally, Gemma, and Chesney reflect on the day’s terrifying events as they try to comfort each other.
Later on, Kirk Sutherland makes a crucial phone call to Craig’s mother, Beth, informing her of the dramatic events that have unfolded with her son. This news will come as a significant shock to Beth, who departed from the street last year after a 13-year run, having been coerced into leaving by Kit.
Colson Smith, the 26-year-old actor behind Craig, shared his excitement about the upcoming episodes: “I can’t wait for people to see Craig’s final scenes. It is exactly the exit I wanted for him and we are all really proud of what we filmed in those final weeks.”

He added: “It was actually great fun. I was walking around covered in fake blood for days and I was chuffed that I got to work with so many brilliant people in this final storyline.”
Earlier this year, Colson announced his departure from the ITV soap after portraying Craig for 14 years. In a heartfelt Twitter, now X, post, he expressed: “Autumn last year I was told that Craig Tinkers time on the Cobbles is to come to end in 2025.
“I’ve LOVED every single second of my 14 year stay as a resident on the GREATEST street in the world. I feel incredibly lucky to have grown up in, on and around Coronation street.”

He continued: “I’ve learnt pretty much everything about life from the people who call it home. I’m excited to play out the exit story for Our Craigy.
“For Me, this is just the end of the beginning. I genuinely can’t wait to see what chapter 2 has in store for me. LONG LIVE THE COBBLES!”
Coronation Street continues on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV and ITV X.
