Emmerdale fans are convinced one iconic villager is about to meet a tragic end
Emmerdale fans are speculating that Joe Tate could be heading for a tragic fate as his secret kidney transplant is revealed.
In Thursday’s episode (April 17), available on ITVX, Caleb Miligan (played by William Ash) finally discovered the shocking truth about Joe’s (Ned Porteous) illicit organ-harvesting scheme.
The drama began when a suspicious Caleb returned to the private hospital that had ‘saved his life’ following a stabbing incident.
Upon arrival, he used the intercom to request a conversation with Dr. Crowley (James Hillier), who was Joe’s accomplice in the illegal transplant operation.
However, Caleb was taken aback when a voice responded, stating that no such person worked at the clinic, reports Leeds Live.

“There is no Dr Crowley working from this hospital, and there never has been. I can’t help you, I’m sorry”, they informed Caleb.
Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) also voiced her doubts about Joe, telling Caleb she believes he is behind Noah’s (Jack Downham) mysterious drugging.
In an attempt to get Noah’s perspective, Caleb managed to isolate him at the depot, where Noah recounted a vague memory of being in a hospital bed and seeing Joe.
Later, during a conversation with Dawn Fletcher (Olivia Bromley), Caleb’s suspicions are further aroused when he learns about a strange injury that Joe has been concealing since his return to the village last week.

The final piece of the puzzle fell into place when Caleb visited Home Farm to subtly interrogate Joe and stumbled upon the medication he’s been taking post-transplant.
The chilling revelation has been made, leading to a tense confrontation where Caleb also pins the blame for the devastating limo accident on Joe, lashing out at his nephew in anger.
For the moment, Caleb paused on his vengeful plans against Joe, but Emmerdale enthusiasts are certain that Cain Dingle (played by Jeff Hordley) will be out for blood once Joe’s recent misdeeds come to light.
A fan speculated on Reddit, posing the question: “Anyone else think there’s gonna be a ‘who attacked Joe?’ storyline in the not too far future?”.

They elaborated further: “Of course any one of their loved ones would also be gunning for Joe and of course Caleb himself and possibly Ruby and Steph and maybe Cain.”
Another chimed in with a theory: “Maybe Cain actually does successful kill Joe this time and that is whose grave he is crying by?”.

A third commenter expressed anticipation: “Now Cain know what Joe has done, I’m so happy about this and hope Caleb and Cain kill him/get him killed.”
On social media, one viewer remarked: “Joe is actually a nasty piece of work. Hope Cain and Caleb kill him honestly #emmerdale”, while another suggested: “Could lead up to the story of why Cain leaves.”
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV and ITVX
