Emmerdale delivered a heart-wrenching twist for Dawn Fletcher on Wednesday (May 14), leading some viewers to speculate that her departure may be imminent after identifying two clues.
Earlier this week, Dawn (played by Olivia Bromley) and her husband Billy (Jay Kontzle) decided to feign reconciliation after Dawn admitted to pushing Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) out of a window. The couple agreed to assert they were together in bed at the time of the incident, providing each other with false alibis, and subsequently, Billy moved back into Home Farm.
However, during the latest visit to the Dales, Dawn made a confession to Billy that had devastating repercussions.

At Home Farm, Billy eavesdropped on a conversation between Kim Tate (Claire King) and Dawn in the kitchen. The pair discussed Joe’s condition, with Dawn showing evident concern for her lover, despite claiming to be the one who pushed him, reports Leicestershire Live.
Kim proposed that Dawn accompany her to visit Joe in the hospital, but Dawn hesitantly declined. For the latest TV and showbiz
“But you’d like to,” Kim probed, to which Dawn responded: “Am I that obvious?”.
Dawn then admitted she still has feelings for Joe, leaving Kim perplexed as she is supposed to be mending her marriage with Billy.
Dawn assured Kim that her emotions for Joe were irrelevant now, as she needed to concentrate on Billy and their children.
Later, Billy didn’t hesitate to confront Dawn about her private chat with Kim, confessing that he had overheard everything.
Billy was seething and confronted Dawn, asking her if she retained any affection for Joe. Dawn admitted she still harboured feelings for the comatose villain who was incapacitated after a savage attack.
Crushed by the revelation, Billy declared their phoney alibi agreement null and void, confessing his desire to escape the proximity of Dawn and his current domestic situation.
“I do not know you anymore,” he pronounced sharply, before issuing an ultimatum: “If you don’t want to go to prison, I want full custody of the kids.”
Dawn asserted that he had no chance of taking Clemmie, Lucas, and Evan from her care, yet Billy parted with an ominous threat: “If Joe doesn’t throw you to the wolves, I will.”
Emmerdale enthusiasts are now persuaded that Dawn might either end up incarcerated for Joe’s attempted murder or be expelled from Home Farm by Kim over her deception, and consequently, she may be forced to exit the village, leaving her trio of children behind.
On X, one viewer exclaimed: “I can’t wait for Queen Kim to find out the truth! ! And to kick Dismal Dawn out of her house! ! #Emmerdale.”
Another added: “I’m hoping Dawn goes to the clink and is written out I’m sick of her and so are many others #Emmerdale.”
A third voiced: “Kim Tate is coming for you abysmal Dawn #Emmerdale.
