Yellowstone may have aired its final episode, but the Dutton family saga is far from over. A spin-off new series that follows Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler is inching closer to being on our screens. In fact, the series is so close to becoming a reality that it even has a working title now.
Paramount’s co-CEO Chris McCarthy sat down for an interview with Bloomberg and shared the news that the new drama starring Beth and Rip is tentatively titled Dutton Ranch. While that news is certainly exciting, what’s even more interesting is the potential timeline.
According to McCarthy, the continuing adventures of Beth and Rip, played by Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser, could be on the air as early as fall 2025, which is when the network is hoping to air the series premiere. That is great news for any Yellowstone fans desperately missing the Dutton family and all of their drama.
News of the spinoff broke in December 2024, when it was reported that Reilly and Hauser signed deals to lead a spinoff series. That news wasn’t entirely unexpected as Hauser had hinted at a spinoff for the lovebirds way back in May 2024. While there were rumors that their story would be at the heart of a sixth season of Yellowstone now, it’s officially its own new series.
Dutton Ranch isn’t the only spin-off in the works. As we previously reported, Luke Grimes will reprise his role as the youngest Dutton, Kayce for a spin-off airing on CBS in 2026. While details are sparse, some fans are speculating that the new series will follow Luke in his post-ranch life alongside Kelsey Asbille and Brecken Merrill, who play Monica, Kayce’s wife, and Tate, their child.
