Joe looks intently at Dawn on Emmerdale
A new plan emerges for Joe Tate (Picture: ITV)
Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) has been at something of a loose end since being pushed out of a window in Emmerdale a few weeks ago.
Joe recovered from his coma to make it up with the culprit, Dawn Fletcher (Oliva Bromley) and pick up their relationship where they left off.
In a surprisingly short-lived whodunnit, Dawn revealed that she’d been the one who pushed Joe, in a fit of rage after learning how he’d threatened her daughter, Clemmie.
Coming out of his coma, Joe told the police that he hadn’t seen who’d pushed him, covering for Dawn on the understanding that she’d give their relationship another chance.
But with the attack and his kidney theft behind him (for now), what’s next for Joe?
As he attempts to build his future with Dawn, Joe sets up his next scheme… which may be bad news for Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper).

Joe plans for his future with Dawn, suggesting that they take over Home Farm weddings – independent of current partners Take A Vow.
Instead, Dawn pays a visit to Belle, pitching herself as her new business partner.
Belle is interested, but makes Dawn swear that the business will never take Joe Tate’s money, leaving her with a big decision to make.

Later, Joe offers to lend Dawn the money for the business. With Belle’s words hanging over her, Dawn is torn.
The next day, Dawn arrives at work for her first day with Take A Vow.
But has she secretly taken Joe’s cash injection?
April approaches Belle for a job in the Woolpack on Emmerdale

Dawn makes Take A Vow’s second employee, with April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) also joining for a summer job.
Approaching Belle for work, April is heartened when Belle agrees to give her a trial run at the business.
Soon, she arrives for work at her first assignment – filming a christening for Take A Vow.
However, she’s distracted when she recognises the baby’s father as a man who threatened to urinate on her while she was living rough on the streets of Leeds.
